Pittsburgh’s 250th Birthday Fireworks!

October 5th, 2008

An estimated 75,000 people attended Pittsburgh’s 250th birthday celebration this Saturday. Robin and I joined in the festivities, culminating in a spectacular 30 minute fireworks extravaganza put on by world-renowned (and Pittsburgh’s own) Zambelli. Launching from 17 different points in and around downtown, and off barges from the three surrounding rivers, it was the most fantastic display I’ve ever witnessed! Robin captured the finale on her little camera. Notice especially the fireworks launching off the tops of three downtown skyscrapers!
